The sequel to Steig Larsson's immensly popular novel-translated-to-movie The Girl with a Dragon Tattoo has just been released in Australia.

The Girl with a Dragon Tattoo was a hit in the Australian box office.

Despite the fact that the movie was in sub titles and spoken in Swedish, most people still gained a huge understanding of what the story was about.

The trilogy is based around Swedish journalist Mikael Blomkvist and young computer hacker Lisbeth Salander, who want to help and investigate a family-based murder.

The Girl who played with Fire, the interesting sequel, has started screening in Australian cinemas.

It again begins with another mystery, linked with aspects from The Girl with a Dragon Tattoo.

Swedish journalist Mikael Blomkvist decides to write an article on sex trafficking, but as soon the article starts taking off people associated with Mikael Blomkvist are murdered.

Lisbeth Salander is suspected of the murders because her fingerprints were found on the gun used in the killings.

The mystery starts turning into a whirlwind as Lisbeth runs away from the murder investigation and decides to investigate her past.

While the movies are not suitable for those who cannot stand cruel and gruesome scenes, they are very intriguing and will get you hooked.
