Sex and the City the movie

After watching every episode of all six seasons, I was finally ready to see the movie, and I was excited!
Knowing the lives of Carrie, Miranda, Samantha and Charlotte would be wound up in the movie, I entered with no expectations.
Among all the fashion we finally see Charlotte’s adopted daughter, the child which she’s strived for each and every season.
We see Samantha in Los Angeles in the most stable relationship she’s ever been in- with Smith Gerard.
Miranda is still in Brooklyn with Steve and Brady, and Carrie is yet again with Mr Big, her love for six seasons.
In casual conversation over dinner preparations, Mr Big (John) and Carrie decide to get married, and we see a bridal gown montage for Vogue, organised by Carrie’s ex-boss.
After being given her favourite dress by Vivien Westwood from the shoot, Carrie is finally prepared to walk down the aisle.
With her three bridesmaids of black, red and blue in tow, she makes her way to the library to tie the knot.
However when Big doesn’t show, everyone begins to worry, and so did I.
After a devastating and humiliating call that no bride wants to hear on her wedding day, Carrie breaks down.
And so did I.
I couldn’t help but think how that type of rejection would feel on her big day.
Although Big regrets not going back to the library, it’s too late for that.
Samantha, Charlotte and Miranda join Carrie on what was supposed to be her honeymoon, and after days of moping in her hotel room, Carrie starts to see the light.
While Carrie can’t forget about her men, Samantha can’t forget about her next door neighbour, who showers naked outside and has a different partner every night.
As the movie went along, I was encapsulated with every event that occurred.
The four women, driven by fashion and each other, find happiness in their lives.
I won’t give away the ending, however I have to say that I loved every second of it.
Being a true Sex and the City fan, the two and a half hour film had me feeling like I did after every episode of each season- I didn’t want it to end.
