Wrong. Not if it’s Toby.
Paranormal Activity 3 took it up several notches with more scares and unexplainable events than the first two movies.
In this movie, Katie and Kristi are young girls.
The younger sister, Kristi, befriends Toby, an invisible being who haunts their home.
At first this "imaginary" friend seems harmless, a mere childhood phase.
However, strange and unexplainable things begin to happen around the house, and Dennis, the girls’ father figure, sets up cameras to capture any weird behavior.
Unlike the first two movies, this one does not waste any time.
The action starts a lot earlier into the movie, progressively getting more serious and scary as the time passes.
This movie also incorporates the use of an oscillating camera, which adds to the suspense and anticipation.
The final scene brings everything together, and finally the viewer learns Toby has chosen Kristi and her family for a reason, not just by coincidence.
The last sequence of events is drawn out, as the viewer waits in anticipation for whatever fate the family will face.
Moral of the story: Don’t mess with a child’s imaginary friend. Especially if his name is Toby.
