Katy Perry’s third single from the album Teenage Dream is an inspirational pop song that is sure to soar through the charts.

Entitled Firework, the moving music video creates the perfect feel-good anthem and the song has a catchy beat designed to make every listener feel good.

With Katy Perry’s beautiful voice and fireworks exploding in the background, energetic pop singles rarely get better than this.

Ms Perry dedicated the song to the “It Gets Better” project, whose goal is to prevent youth and teens from committing suicide, but some may say the video goes a little off track.

The message that the song portrays is that “everyone is special, let everyone know it".

The video shows different scenes of depressed teenagers, one of a teen in the middle of a domestic dispute.

Another is of an overweight girl at a party, watching everyone swimming in their underwear while she is too embarrassed to join in.

The third scene is of a young leukaemia patient watching television in hospital.

Throughout the video the scenes change, and the characters end up finding happiness in their own way.
