Katy Perry just wrapped up her Australian Tour in Brisbane on May 15, 2011, after spending three weeks in the country.
Fresh from her Logies performance, Russell Brand’s wife performed in front of a full house of devoted fans who were dressed in blue wigs and yellow dresses.
The theme of the California Dreams Tour included candy, cupcakes and meat.
Katy even went as far as to having the area smelling like cotton candy.
In between costume changes the crowd experienced a mini movie where Katy found herself in a candy wonderland on a quest to find her missing cat, Kitty Purry.
She recently told Rolling Stone Magazine she wanted to raise the bar.
“I have this whole thing in my show that is about candy and cupcakes and meat, it’s both really sweet and shocking,” Ms Perry explained.
“I’m definitely bringing the pizzazz with a lot of bells and whistles.”
Katy’s performance of her current chart topping single ET wowed the crowd with a laser show.
But it was Firework which gave the popstar a standing ovation, with the song ending with fireworks shooting of the stage.
Not only did Katy belt out near-perfect versions of her songs, she did so with creativity and charisma.
Katy Perry reaffirmed the purpose of going to live shows- entertainment.
