Gilbert searches for self, finds man

Eat, Pray, Love tells the story of Liz Gilbert and her journey to “find herself” by traveling to Italy, India and Indonesdia.
Securing a book and a movie deal out of soul searching sure seems nice.
On her way to figuring out what went wrong the past seven years of her life, Gilbert indulges herself with pasta and dessert in Italy.
She plans on learning Italian, but drops out of the class after a couple of months.
In India, she finds herself under the guidance of a Yogi at an ashram.
Here, she struggles to pray and meditate, but fights through the challenges and starts to feel at peace about her place in the world.
Wow, I’m starting to admire this woman.
Gilbert finds herself in Indonesia, visiting a medicine man in a local village.
She’s well on her way to discovering herself without the help of a lover, until she meets a sexy Brazilian man that’s absolutely crazy about her.
Readers can respect that Gilbert allowed herself some flexbility in the “find yourself” department, but she completely veered off the “soul-searching” street and onto the “I’m going to go back to a man that makes me feel wanted” highway.
While Gilbert pledges to eat, pray and love for herself, she finds herself under the comfortable wing of a man and all previous progress seems lost on the sex appeal of a Brazilian.
