Fans are thunderstruck by AC/DC

While I was sitting and waiting for the AC/DC concert to start, I was staring at the sea of flashing red devil horns all around the stadium.

Then, as if the crowd had been thunderstruck, everyone roared to life, singing, cheering and stomping their feet as AC/DC stepped onto the stage, five minutes early.

The top of the stage held two large red devil hats with an ‘A’ for Angus, and the stage was surrounded with large screens changing from traditional AC/DC images to close ups of band members, and the stage was a T shape which went right into the crowd down in the mosh pit.

They played all of their classic hits and new songs from their Black Ice album.

The night consisted of lead singer Brian Johnson swinging off of a giant bell while singing Hells Bells, lead guitarist Angus Young giving the crowd a bit of a strip tease, getting out of his traditional school boy outfit, firing of fake cannons and a giant inflatable tattooed woman straddling a motorcycle.

The band also paid tribute to late lead singer Bon Scott.

The concert went for a solid two hours, with the band taking only very short breaks in between songs to grab a sip of water.

The night ended with fireworks off to the side behind the stage.
