Locals will have the opportunity to be inspired on Thursday, May 6, 2010 when the Caloundra Chamber of Commerce hosts the official launch of The Encouragement Foundation’s new book.
The Little Book of Encouragement will be launched, along with guest presenter and one of Australia's most exciting speakers, Carren Smith, at their May business breakfast at the Caloundra RSL.
Encouragement Foundation founder John Shadforth said he was delighted to be able to team up with the Caloundra Chamber of Commerce to launch The Little Book of Encouragement.
"The e-book has been compiled by third year [public relations] students from the University of the Sunshine Coast as a way to raise funds for worthy Encouragement Foundation projects, such as local student bursaries and educational hostels for marginalised young East Timorese," Mr Shadforth said.
"Students identified business owners as their key target market for benefiting from the e-book and saw an opportunity to team up with the Caloundra Chamber of Commerce to reach local business owners.
"Last year, five [public relations] students from the University of the Sunshine Coast were assigned to officially launch The Encouragement Foundation and this year, a new group of students are taking the foundation to the next level with the introduction of the e-book that people will be encouraged to purchase, with all funds raised going towards worthy causes.
The Little Book of Encouragement can be used as a resource to ignite the fire that everyone contains within themselves.
It is a tool that can be used to inspire and uplift readers, and contains stories that, when feeling down, can alter people’s perception about a situation and empower them to continue until they succeed.
Mr Shadforth said this event would be the beginning of the The Little Book of Encouragement's journey to empowering as many people as possible.
"The book is a compilation of encouraging stories and inspirational quotes, and it has been designed to inspire readers, in particular business owners," Mr Shadorth said.
"Encouragement is not only a powerful tool for each and every one of us in our everyday life, it also plays a key role in raising staff morale and productivity."
Carren Smith will be a key speaker at the event, providing individuals with tools for delivering success through, leadership, responsibility and productivity enhancement techniques.
As a survivor of the 2002 Bali Bombing, coping with her de facto's death, and the impact of the 2004 Tsunami, Carren's presentations are charged with passion and commitment to extraordinary achievements for all.
The event will encourage and then equip attendees to be an encouragement to others.
Don’t miss this 7am session at the Caloundra RSL if you want to maximise performance with Carren Smith.
