Cloverfield

The movie Cloverfield from the mind of Lost and Alias creator J.J Abrams is the type of movie that you either love or hate.
Set in New York City, the story is about a group of party goers who find themselves caught up in a mad dash to escape from an unidentified monster that is tearing the city apart.
The plot is a fairly well used one, but what sets this movie apart from others is the filming technique that is used throughout the story.
Similar to the way the Blair Witch Project was filmed, this movie tells its characters' story using a hand-held video camera.
This technique proves very interesting and works well for creating an intense atmosphere, however at times the fast-paced nature of the movie can leave audience members feeling nauseus.
Overall however, if you have some spare time up your sleeve this movie will keep you entertained for around 90 minutes.
