The Sunshine Coast Bulletin is an online source of news and information about the Sunshine Coast region of Queensland, Australia.

Our mission is to produce articles that reflect the concerns and interests of the Sunshine Coast community.

The articles on this website were written by journalism and communication students at the University of the Sunshine Coast. The University is located about one hour’s drive north of Brisbane.

The University hosts one of Australia's most innovative and practical journalism programs. One of our aims is to help our students graduate "work ready" in a range of different media - print, broadcast and the web.

Students should develop high-level practical skills, an ability to think for themselves, and a solid base of general knowledge.

For that reason we built on our commitment to the development of advanced writing skills and created The Sunshine Coast Bulletin project.

It is part of our multimedia approach to good journalism in the school of Communication. As part of our multi-skilling curriculum, the Bulletin is also a valuable tool in teaching web design in addition to journalistic skills.

The journalism department at the University also maintains a sister-site, which is called NeoVox Australia.
