A Marley and Me adventure

Marley and me by John Grogan, 2006, is a heartwarming memoir about a young family and their unforgettable Labrador retriever who taught them many valuable life lessons.

Marley and me is the true story of journalists John and Jenny, a young married couple who decide a puppy is what they need in their lives.

They bring home Marley, an adorable gold Labrador pup, full of boundless energy, excitement, fears and bad behaviour, but most of all, love.

From jumping, gnawing, drooling and eating whatever crossed his path, Marley begins with a few behavioural problems, even being expelled from obedience school. He quickly grows into a 44 kilogram dog, with the same behavioural problems, yet showing endless love and immense loyalty to his family.

Marley and me is a heartfelt, interesting and hilarious book for anyone who has ever wanted or owned a dog. Marley’s crazy nature and pure heart will make you cry and laugh, sometimes at the same time, as he shows love and loyalty for his family.

I'm not much of a dog-lover, but I want to read this now! A wonderful review.
